A book on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi titled, “The Making of a Legend” written by Sulabh International founder Bindeshwar Pathak who has compiled the journey of Narendra Modi. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah released the book on Wednesday.

Bindeshwar Pathak is an Indian sociologist. He is the founder of Sulabh International, an India based social service organization which works to promote human rights, environmental sanitation, non-conventional sources of energy, waste management and social reforms through education.

He is the Brand Ambassador for Swach Rail Mission of Indian Railways. His work is considered pioneering in social reform, especially in the field of sanitation and hygiene. He received various national and international awards for his work with this organization.

The coffee table book has images and text depicting Modi’s journey, his struggles and several initiatives taken by him since he took oath as country’s prime minister in 2014.

Amit Shah addressed the gathering and spoke about the achievement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shared the characteristics of his overall personality.

Shah added, “that it is his habit to work for the people and tap the opportunity given by God to serve people. Shah further said that there should be no difference between developing a city and a village and PM Modi has proved it.

The BJP president said that till the time Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat, the growth rate of the state was 12 per cent. The massive mandate which he has got today is nothing but a result of his hard work from past 12 years”.

The RSS chief Bhagwat said, that Modi was able to become a successful Gujarat Chief Minister and later the Prime Minister of India because of the journey he undertook in years before coming to power in the state and later at the Centre. People need to read about it.

Mohan Bhagwat termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an able and competent contractor of social welfare, while he was addressing a function after the release of the book.

Mohan Madhukar Bhagwat comes from a family of RSS activists. Mohan Bhagwat was chosen as the Sarsanghchalak,  Chief Executive of the RSS on 21 March 2009. He is one of the youngest leaders to head the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh after Dr. K. B. Hedgewar and M.S. Golwalkar.

Bhagwat said, “there is a drawback in our society that it always look for a contractor for its welfare. Now, our society has found an able and competent contractor Prime Minister Narendra Modi for social welfare. But the danger is that we might put the entire onus on the contractor’s head and sleep. This shouldn’t happen.”

At the launch of a book ‘The Making of a Legend’, Bhagwat said he still follows the same lifestyle of an RSS worker, that he was before becoming the Gujarat CM and later India PM.
