At least 22 people were reported injured in the incident of explosion at the Parsons Green station of the underground metro rail service. The police confirmed that an ‘Improvised explosive device’ (IED) was used in the attack. The London police in its tweet mentioned that they are treating this an act of terrorism. 

The explosion took place at the rushed hour on a District Line Tube when the train pulled into Parson Parsons Green station.  

The London police tweeted saying, “Police called at approx. 8:20am to Parsons Green station following reports of a fire on the train.”  

The London Ambulance Service said 18 people have been taken to hospital. According to reports, most of them suffered burn injuries. 

The police bomb squads and fire crews remained at the scene including London Ambulance unit, reported PTI 

“We have sent multiple resources to the scene including single responders in cars, ambulance crews, incident response officers and our hazardous area response team, with the first of our medics arriving in under five minutes,” PTI quoted London Ambulance. 

According to reports, Downing Street said that British Prime Minister Theresa May ” was receiving regular updates” on the situation. The Brisit PM also took to twitter to condemn the attack.  

One of the passenger also claimed that he saw a bucket in s supermarket. “Passenger Chris Wildish told the BBC that he saw a bucket in a supermarket bag with “low-level flames coming out of it” by the door of the rear carriage,” reported PTI. 

As per reports, this year alone Britain has suffered three terror attacks.
