AIADMK founding leader alleges that Jayalalithaa’s death was an unnatural one and sought a probe into it

The mystery seems adamant in the case of Jayalalithaa’s death as fresh allegations made by AIADMK founding leader renew the questions that were supposedly answered yesterday at a press conference held by the Apollo doctors who treated her.

PH Pandian on Tuesday questioned the secrecy that was maintained in her health matters and called her death occurred under ‘ unnatural circumstances’. His remarks created afresh all the suspicions that were quelled by the doctors yesterday. A telling example of this is evident in a poll conducted by The Times of India, that showed that more than 80% of people thought the same.

The AIADMK leader said at a press meet today that, “Jayalalithaa told me once that she didn’t want Sasikala Natarajan to be TN CM.” He questioned the competence of Sasikala as the legislature party leader and general secretary saying that she is ‘unfit’ for both the posts. He maintains, “Sasikala cheated on us and wants to be the chief minister…And we oppose it.” Meanwhile, Deepa Madhavan is also voicing her opposition and displeasure over Sasikala becoming the CM. He says,” When Jayalalithaa didn’t make her even councillor in her lifetime, how could Sasikala become general secretary of the party?”

PH Pandian recalled the circumstances leading to the death of J Jayalalithaa. Calling it dubious, he hinted at the role played by Sasikala’s family when Jayalalithaa was hospitalised. He also said that he had been entrusted with a duty to look after her assets, which he said he has to fulfil. She told me that I must see to it. I have a duty to fulfil her wish after her demise,” he said.

Sasikala is to become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. So far there seems is no clarity on the swearing-in ceremony, and it will be deferred until governor returns to Chennai.
