Domestic handset manufacturer LYF, also known as Reliance LYF on Monday expanded its entry-level “Wind” series smartphone portfolio with the launch of an another 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone, dubbed as “Reliance LYF C459” in the Indian tech market. Priced at Rs. 4,699, the new Reliance LYF C459 is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via Reliance Digital stores across the country in Black and Blue colour options. The Reliance LYF C459 is a new member of company’s popular Wind series that we have seen the recently launched Reliance Digital LYF Wind 7i with 4G voLTE support and now the LYF C459 can be considered as a watered version of the LYF Wind 7i.
Reliance LYF C459 Design:
Design wise, the Reliance LYF C459 sports a sleek metal unibody design with metal frame all around and matte back finish giving it an overall simple and fresh look. The new smartphone features three capacitive touch navigation buttons and two speaker grilles, where one is placed on the front and the other at the rear end. The volume up-down keys and power/lock buttons are all placed on the left-hand edge of the smartphone, while a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 charging port are situated at the very top edge of the device. The rear panel of the smartphone houses a 5MP rear camera setup with an LED flash module, while the top front panel features a 2MP selfie camera, sensors, and an earpiece.
Reliance LYF C459 Specifications and Features:
As far as specifications are concerned, the Reliance LYF C459 comes equipped with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and scratch resistance 2D Asahi Glass coating on top of the display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. On the software front, the LYF C459 runs on Google’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Reliance LYF C459 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and single LED flash. On the front, the smartphone features a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies. In terms of connectivity, this dual-SIM Reliance LYF C459 offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Gyroscope and Ambient Light Sensor. On the battery front, the Reliance LYF C459 comes loaded with a decent 2,000mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of talk-time and up to 160 hours of standby time on a single charge. Apart from this, the smartphone also supports features like Music player control gestures, Lock screen gestures, Double tap to wake, Flip to mute, etc. Dimensionally, the handset measures 132.0 x 66.0 x 9.3 mm and weighs 139 grams.
