Home-bred handset manufacturer Ziox Mobiles has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new budget-oriented smartphone, dubbed as the “Ziox Astra Curve 4G” in the Indian mobile market. Priced at Rs. 7,299, the new Ziox Astra Curve 4G is now already made available for purchase in India via all leading offline retail stores across the country in Champagne and Black colour variants. The main highlights of the smartphone are its dual curved edges, 21 Indian languages support and SOS function.
In terms of specifications, the Ziox Astra Curve 4G flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and a 3D curved glass coating on top of the display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a powerful 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Ziox Astra Curve 4G runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. Android 7.0 Nougat introduces notable changes to the OS (operating system) and its development platform. So all the latest features of the OS are present in the device such as split-screen multitasking, smarter power management, etc.
Talking about its photography department, the Ziox Astra Curve 4G features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and an LED flash module. On the front, the device houses a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies and making video calls.
On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM supported Ziox Astra Curve 4G offers various connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the smartphone is fuelled by a long-lasting 2,200mAh Li-ion battery. Sensors on the device include an Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Ambient Light sensor. Apart from these specifications, the device also comes preloaded with different Indian languages that enable communication in 21 regional languages in India. Additionally, the smartphone also comes with a bundled back cover and one-year screen breakage warranty.
