One of the most attracting and exciting promotional posters for Spider-Man: Homecoming had Tom Holland relaxing by the site of New York skyline-remember? Yes, that poster is my personal favourite too. Well, do you know the actual story about how it came to be?
It was an accident! The image was actually shot by a photographer when Tom Holland was having a nap, off from shooting with a headphone surrounding his ears! The actor himself was not aware about all this when the picture was shot in-between takes. Later, that picture was used as a teaser image for the promotional campaigns.
Tom Holland told during an interview about the story and said that he too was surprised.
Interesting story about that poster is that is actually me asleep. That’s not part of the movie, that’s me in-between takes asleep. We were shooting this scene and I was just really tired that day, and I was just asleep on the floor, and the photographer took a picture. So when they made that the poster, I was like ‘What! What the hell, guys!’
Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Homecoming is steadily moving on the box-office track, eclipsing the mark of $700 million worldwide, recently.
