YouTube is the biggest platform for video content. Anything that is made in a video is first posted and checked on YouTube. It has given a lot of new talents a place to showcase their talent. The music stars, the dancers, the comedians all of them are posting their videos on YouTube and getting famous.
The superstars that have now become the talk of the town and the new sensations of Hollywood were once strugglers. At that time YouTube helped them in getting the recognition. They made it to the place where they are today by uploading their song videos on YouTube.

Shortened for 5SOS the band started off as the young band and gained their followers from YouTube and other social media platforms like Twitter. Soon they caught the eyes of One Direction who did an international tour with them.
2. Alessia Cara
Alessia Cara used to put up the acoustic covers of her favorite songs on YouTube. One of her videos reached the Founder of EP Entertainment and that’s when she was asked to record demos and her entire senior year was focused on her music.
3. Austin Mahone
The American singer started off by posting videos on YouTube. He gained the attention of wider audience after posting a video of Justin Bieber’s Mistletoe. Next year he released 2 independent singles and also got contacted by Universal Records Studios. Soon he was starring in commercials and releasing his albums.
4. Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly released her song Call Me Maybe which caught the eyes of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez who decided to post a lip-sync video with their friends on their social handles. The song became madly viral and Justin finally signed Carly on his talent manager’s advice.
5. Charlie Puth
Charlie used to post funny videos and acoustic videos on his YouTube channel Charlie Vlogs. His singular video covering Adele’s Someone Like You was discovered by Ellen DeGeneres. She later signed him for her label eleveneleven.
6. Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran started off by putting some of his independent albums and his album Spinning Man got him enough audience. Finally, he posted his debut album ‘+‘ in the year 2011 which received favorable reviews of music critics as well.
7. James Bay
James is a low-key superstar but leaves a great impact on everyone by his music. The said star caught the attention of a Republic Records A&R after someone uploaded a video on YouTube of him singing in an open mic in London. Within a week he was signed to the label. His first EP The Dark of the Morning was released in 2013. Within a year he was selling out his first UK headline tour.
8. Justin Bieber
When searching for a different singer, Scooter Braun a former marketing executive accidentally clicked on Justin’s video. He was so impressed that he tracked down Justin, located Bieber’s school and finally contacted his family. Beiber’s first single One Time was released on the radio when he was still recording his debut album. Later his singles One Less Lonely Girl, Love Me, and Favorite Girl were also released and charting on the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
9. Pentatonix
It is an American band from Arlington, Texas. After losing a local radio competition they started taking on the gigs. Their version of Telephone by Lady Gaga ft. Beyoncé gained a lot of attention on YouTube. After their appearance in the show Sing-Off, the group got a global audience.
10. Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes learned to play guitar by watching the tutorial videos on YouTube. He was 14 when he started posting the cover videos and gained millions of views and followers in a few month. Soon he was discovered by the Artist Manager Andrew Gertler and he brought him to Island Records in 2014. He released his first single Life of the Party on 26th June 2014. He became the youngest debutant in the top 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
11. Tori Kelly
Tori is a singer, songwriter, record producer and a voice artist. She gained an audience when she started posting videos on YouTube at the age of 14. The first video she uploaded was a cover of Go Tell It On The Mountain. She gained recognition from Frank Ocean’s song Thinkin’ Bout You.
12. Troye Sivan
Sivan’s music career began from YouTube itself. He came out as a homosexual in one of his videos. His recent videos are also around the same concept. His album Blue Neighbourhood was an appreciable move on the LGBT relationship awareness.
13. The Weeknd
Abel Makkonen Tesfaye posted videos of his singing anonymously under the name The Weeknd. He released three nine-track mixtapes throughout 2011: House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence which were critically acclaimed. In 2012 he released album Trilogy, thirty tracks consisting of remastered mixtapes and three additional songs. It was released under Republic Records and his own name Label XO.
