1. Hawa Mahal, Jaipur
Hawa Mahal is also known as “Palace of Winds” was built in 1799. There are several nooks and crannies in the Palace.
The Palace was built in such a way that the women can watch the on-goings of the city without being seen.
2. Lake Palace, Udaipur
This Palace is built on a lake and the night view of this Palace is simply breathtaking.
The water surrounding the Palace makes it even more enticing than it already is.
3. Bangalore Palace, Bangalore
This grand Palace of Bangalore is still owned by the royal family.
The looks of the Palace will remind you of the castles that we have seen in Disney movies.
4. Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh
Fatehpur Sikri was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1569. It is built in an Indo-Islamic architectural style.
The Palace was the capital of Mughal empire for a while until it was hit by a severe water shortage.
5. Jal Mahal, Jaipur
Jal Mahal was built as a hunting lodge in the year 1734. The only to reach this Palace is by boat.
This Palace is so huge that four stories of this Palace remain under the water. But magically the walls are seepage free because of the stone facade and lime mortar.
6. Amba Vilas Palace, Mysore
Amba Vilas Palace looks extremely enticing during night time. It is also the home to the annual Dasara festival.
During Dasara festival, several decorated elephants wander around the Palace.
7. Umaid Bhavan, Jaipur
Umaid Bhavan was built during 1929 and it got completed in 1943. This Palace was built during a severe drought in Rajasthan for the purpose of generating employment for people. The Palace of built by Maharaja Umaid Singh and it was also named after him.
Some part of this Palace is occupied by the royal family while the other half is turned into a 5-star hotel. So one can experience both luxury and royal life in here.
8. City Palace, Jaipur
The royal family of Jaipur still resides in the City Palace. Half of the Palace has been turned into a museum by the royal family.
The palace still possesses the clothes of Raja Madho Singh II, who is rumored to be around 550 pounds.
9. Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
The fort situated 400 feet above the ground on a cliff is apparently one of the best tourist spots in Jodhpur.
Besides the lush gardens and intricately carved gates the Palace also provides you the best view of Jodhpur city.
10. City Palace, Udaipur
This is the largest Palace in Rajasthan and is built on a lake.
The palace has its own elevated garden and swimming pool.
11. Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad
The Palace was once owned by the Nizams but is now turned into a hotel. The Palace has secret gardens and trained chefs.
If you want to actually feel like a royalty and have enough money than stay at their presidential suite which also has a personal swimming pool inside it.
12. Lakshmi Vilas Palace, Baroda
It was built in 1890 by the Gaekwad royal family of Baroda. It is four times the size of Buckingham Palace.
There is mini railway inside the Palace campus which was built by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III so that he can take his kids to school.
13. Chowmahalla Palace, Hyderabad
Chowmahalla Palace was once owned by the Nizams of Hyderabad. They were apparently the wealthiest of lineage as they also owned 50 Rolls Royce and a diamond paperweight.
The Palace had 38 servants just for dusting the chandeliers.
14. Amer Palace, Amer
The Palace situated at the top was built by Kacchwaha Dynasty in 1592.
There are three ways of reaching the Palace, by walking, by driving or by riding an elephant like a royalty.
15. Udai Vilas Palace, Udaipur
The Udai Vilas Palace is now owned by the Oberoi group of hotels. It was built on the hunting grounds of Maharana of Mewar.
The 40 percent of the Palace is designed as a wildlife sanctuary.
