The most awaited and talked Nokia mid-range smartphones Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and also the 2017-edition of the Nokia 3310 details, including a possible launch date for India, could be revealed on May 8 by HMD Global. The company has invited media for an interactive session in New Delhi, adding “HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones invites you to a conversation with Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global.” The press meet is going to take place in an event in New Delhi on May 8 at 6 PM. HMD Global is a Finnish start-up company, which has the official permit to manufacture, distribute and sell Nokia-branded smartphones worldwide. We can expect all the Nokia mid-range Android smartphones and the relaunched nostalgic feature phone Nokia 3310 to be released in the country at the event. Also, the future plans of the company, pricing and availability of the same will be revealed there.

To recall, HMD global showcased these smartphones and feature phone at the MWC 2017 event back in February. And there the company announced that the new Nokia Android smartphones and the new Nokia 3310 will be launched in markets such as India, Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and Middle East, in sometime later of this year. After the India launch event on May 8, Nokia’s new Android smartphones and the new Nokia 3310 2017-edition can be expected to hit the Indian market any time after mid-May.

Of the four Nokia phones, Nokia 3310 hits the most popularity, primarily because of the Nokia fans. The new Nokia 3310 looks very different from the old Nokia 3310. The most-awaited Nokia 3310 is an upgraded version of the black and white Nokia 3310 device. Earlier the Nokia 3310 listing was spotted online at a price tag of Rs. 3,899, but HMD Global has confirmed the listing to be unofficial.

Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 specifications:-

On the software fronts, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are all powered by latest Android 7.0 Nougat and have stock Android UI. Nokia is promising regular updates for these smartphones as well.

Spec wise, Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS 2.5D design display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a fingerprint sensor below the display. The Nokia 6 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card support up to 128GB. The phone packs a 3000mAh battery. The Nokia 6 has a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. Nokia 6 sports a metal unibody design with glossy black body.

Nokia 5 comes with a 5.2-inch HD screen and features a fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its camera, Nokia 5 has a 13-megapixel sensor on the back and 8-megapixel sensor on front. Other features of the smartphone include Micro-USB 2.0, 4G LTE support, NFC and 3000mAh battery.

Nokia 3 has a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK 6737 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), 8-megapixel cameras on the front and back, Micro-USB 2.0, NFC and a 2650mAh battery. The Nokia 3 sports a plastic body with a polycarbonate back cover.

2017-edition Nokia 3310 specifications:-

In terms of features and specifications, the 2017 edition of Nokia 3310 will come with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 2G connectivity, Nokia Series 30+ OS operating system. On the camera front, the device will feature a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. In terms of memory, the phone will come with 16MB on-board storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The key highlight of the new Nokia 3310 will be of course its battery. It packs a removable 1200mAh battery that delivers 22 hours of talk time, 1 month of standby time, 39 hours FM radio playback and 51 hours of MP3 playback. The new Nokia 3310 is expected to come in Red, Yellow, Dark Blue and Grey colour variants.
