After the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 4A in India, the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to introduce its Redmi 4 smartphone in India on May 16. The company has already started teasing the upcoming Redmi phone launch in India and now Amazon India, through a teaser on their website, has announced that the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi device will be available exclusively on its e-commerce platform. Amazon India has already put up a page with ‘Notify Me’ live button, where interested customers can register for updates related to Xiaomi’s next Redmi smartphone.

It is not clear whether the company will introduce only the standard version of the Redmi 4 or bring its pro version as well. In March, Xiaomi had confirmed that it would launch successors to the Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India. Xiaomi had launched the two budget-friendly smartphones, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime in China in November last year.
