Manyam Puli, the Telugu dubbed version of the Mollywood box office hit Pulimurugan starring the legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal, is having a good run at the box office both in Telangana and Andhra with the movie witnessing a massive hit in the opening week itself.
Mohanlal, who is known for his role in the Telugu movie Janatha Garage, the highest grossing Telugu film in the year of its release, seems to have attracted the attention of the Telugu fans.
According to The Indian Express reports, Manyam Puli, which was released in Telangana and Andhra, raked in Rs. 2.5 crore on its opening weekend and the film was released in more than 500 screens in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. The first three-day collections of the film are impressive, given that it hit the screens a day after Vijay Antony’s much-awaited film , Bethaludu. The film has reportedly already recovered 62.50 percent of investment for its distributors.
The movie was shown in 350 screens, both in Andhra and Telangana, which is quite high for a dubbed movie to get in those states.
Manyam Puli is going full house in all shows, so much so that extra shows were added for the over-enthusiastic Telugu crowd.
Long lines of extremely eager fans were seen outside movie theaters.
What makes people want to watch Pulimurugan in Malayalam and Manyam Puli in Telugu is the breath-taking cinematograhy of Shaji Kumar and the extraordinary stunts choreographed by Peter Hein, which send chills done the spine while watching the movie.
