To counter Reliance Jio’s Rs. 149 plan, Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel has introduced a new affordable recharge plan, called “Airtel FRC Rs. 144 Plan” for its prepaid subscribers. The new Airtel Rs. 144 Recharge plan offers its subscribers unlimited voice calling and a total of 2GB 4G mobile data for 28 days on a recharge of just Rs. 144. Under this “Rs. 144 Plan” recharge scheme, Airtel prepaid subscribers recharging with Rs. 144 can avail free unlimited voice calling to on-network (Local + STD Airtel to Airtel calls), along with 2GB of 4G mobile data with a validity of 28 days. All Airtel prepaid subscribers having 4G-enabled handsets can avail this offer and enjoy the company’s value voice and data proposition in the said period.
Notably, those customer having a non-4G handset, they will get only 1GB internet data with the Rs. 144 FRC plan. But, the validity of the said recharge plan will be the same as the 4G-enabled handsets benefits. Talking about its FUP details, Bharti Airtel offers a cap of 250 minutes of outgoing calls within a single day or 1000 minutes of outgoing calls per week. The FRC Rs. 144 plan is a First Recharge Coupon that means only new subscribers can avail this FRC scheme. All Airtel prepaid subscribers can avail this offer with their first recharge or second recharge. Though the plan offers 250 minutes of daily limit, after FUP limit, you will be charged 10 paise per minute (for calls) for the rest of the period. Unlike the Reliance Jio’s Rs. 149 plan, this plan doesn’t offer any SMS benefits.
For existing customers, Airtel has also launched a similar kind of plan at Rs. 149, but it doesn’t offer high-data benefits. The Airtel Rs. 149 plan offers its existing customers unlimited on-net voice calls, along with 300MB mobile data for 4G-handset users or 50MB mobile data for non-4G handset users with a validity of 28 days.
With the launch of its affordable first recharge plan, Bharti Airtel is aggressively going to compete against its rival telecom operators — Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, BSNL and others. In the Indian telecom industry, the revolutionary entry of Reliance Jio has created a new storm and changed the entire telecom scenario with its highly affordable tariff plans and forced the other telecom giants to reduce their data and calling rates. To counter Reliance Jio’s tariff plans, other leading telecom operators have been trying really hard to establish new market strategies and come up with aggressive plans in the Indian market. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel is also offering 100 percent cashback on its Rs. 349 prepaid recharge plan. Note that, this is a limited period offer, though the telco has not revealed when it will end this cashback offer.
A few days ago, Bharti Airtel also launched a new Rs. 199 plan, where the company offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling to any network and any region (Local + STD) in the country, along with 1GB of 2G / 3G / 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 28 days.
Apart from this, the Domestic telecom operator also launched a new voice and data-centric first recharge plan, called the “First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 495” for its new prepaid subscribers. The new FRC Rs. 495 Recharge Plan offers Airtel prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 3G or 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totaling 84GB 3G/4G data for the period.
Besides these plans, Bharti Airtel also has a few more attractive voice and data-centric plans such as the “Airtel Rs. 198 plan”, and “Airtel Rs. 244 plan”.
Airtel Rs. 198 plan: In this plan, Airtel is offering unlimited local and STD calls along with 1GB of mobile internet data for a validity of 28 days. Customers can also avail 10 percent extra cashback on opening an Airtel Payments Bank account.
Airtel Rs. 244 plan: Under this Rs. 244 plan, customers recharging with Rs. 244 can avail free unlimited voice calling (same network Local + STD), along with 1GB 3G or 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data for a period of 70 days. This plan is applicable for 4G-enabled handsets only.
