Warner Bros’s and Snyder/Whedon’s DC directorial has got off to a good start as far as its Indian box-office performance is concerned. The latest superhero flick has so far collected ₹16.4 crore ($2.52 million) till Saturday. On the first day, it made around ₹7.8 crore on Friday and then improvised with ₹8.6 crore on Saturday.
The film however is getting a surprising competition from Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Sulu, which was also released alongside JL, this Friday. Though, Tumhari Sulu’s overall two-day gross is behind Justice League but it seems certain that it will eventually gain the pace over the next week, courtesy a shining performance from Vidya and multiple praises from every critic.
The Vidya Balan movie has taken in around ₹9.6 crore, till Saturday. Where, on Friday, the collection was just ₹3.7 crore, it grew up by 61% and gained a good amount of ₹5.9 crore on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the great run of Thor: Ragnarok still continues, which has become the best grossing Hollywood film in India, this year. Chris Hemsworth’s and Taika Waititi’s enigmatic, comedic superhero blockbuster has so far gulped in around ₹73 crore!
