No rules, no limits, no fear, be carefree, those who dare to love Befikre!
Aditya Chopra’s recent romantic comedy showcases youth with this moto; to love without any conditions. Starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor, Befikre premiered last Friday, 9th December all across India. Set in the romantic city, Paris, this movie is sure to captivate the hearts of the audience with its amiable plot and foot tapping music. Although on the capital front, Befikre has failed to have a good start, with a mere collection of 34.36 cr first weekend, fans have reviewed the movie to be enjoyable.
The story is based around two youths, Dharam (Ranveer Singh) and Shyra (Vaani Kapoor) in Paris and how they deal with their not-so-romantic-love life. Dharam is seen as a fun loving guy who is open to any kind of relationship with a physical aspect. While Shyra shies away from any kind of commitment who lives in the moment. The duo get together on a whim only to realize that they are not compatible enough for a relationship. Then starts the real test i.e., to remain friends while pursuing their separate love interests!
Although the presentation with all the glam of Paris and uncensored kissing scenes does seem attractive in Bollywood, the movie fails to deliver something new. Previous flicks like Hum Tum, Love Aaj Kal, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and last year’s Tamasha have all served the same dish with a new twist. Yet Befikre falls short on that level albeit showcasing entertaining performances by the leads.
