Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther is spreading havoc on its rival flicks and is unstoppable on the domestic box-office track. The Ryan Coogler directorial has now achieved another feat by going past $900 million on the worldwide box-office too. Not only this, what’s more astonishing (but not really), is that the 18th MCU film has also pushed last year’s blockbuster, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast behind, on the US domestic box-office by grossing around $506.4 million!
With this Black Panther has reached to the ninth spot in the list of the highest grossing films in the North America alone. Being only behind 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ($532 million) now, it won’t take much time to come at the eighth place.
Globally, the movie, also starring Michael B. Jordan, is just going all guns blazing, with a brilliant collection of around $909 million, so far.
It has already broken into the Top 50 highest grossing movies of all-time, on the global box office chart. Currently, it’s sitting on the 47th spot, but it won’t be for long.
The director of the blockbuster, Ryan Coogler also expressed his gratitude towards the audience for showering unprecedented love on Black Panther.
“Never in a million years did we imagine that you all would come out this strong. It still humbles me to think that people care enough to spend their money and time watching our film.”
