Its time again for the biggest T20 championship. Indian Premier League is ready for its next season. But before we get all engrossed in the madness, lets look what some palyers are up to. According to reports, some players are looking for new teams. These players were released from their previous contracts. Now, they will go under the hammer on 20th February. There are 351 players in this years auction.
Now in previous auctions there have been a lot of fireworks. But this year we can expect minimum fireworks. It is true that teams have released players but very limited players were released. Therefore all teams have a very tight purse with them.
Kings XI Punjab released only 4 players from their teams but have the biggest purse at the IPL 2017 auction
Kings XI released Rishi Dhawan who the brought for a whopping 3 crore rupees from a base price of 90 lakh. Other players released include Aussie paceman Mitchell Johnson, Kyle Abott and Farhan Behardien. This year Kings XI will have 23.35 crore rupees to buy new players to rejuvenate the last years bottom placed team.
Rising Pune Supergiants offloaded the most players from its team with 11 but still can only spend 19.1 crore rupees at the auction. Other teams have the following numbers:
