Finally, the wait is over and Big Boss got a new winner-a female one, after a longtime! And its none other than Shilpa Shinde! The Big Boss contestant of season 11, became the winner in the grand finale, beating another fan-favourite and fellow housemate, Hina Khan!
The final was a tight affair and it saw four top contestants fighting it out in the final showdown, where the other two contestants were, Vikas Gupta and Puneesh Sharma.
Out of the four finalists, the first one to get eliminated from the finale, was Puneesh who was taken out of the house by his family members who were sent to pick him.

Then, actor Akshay Kumar entered the house and took Vikas Gupta out of the house and also of the finale. But Vikas Gupta assured himself an amount from the prize money, since he had won the last task, Vikas City, just before the finale. He went away with Rs.6 lakh.
Then in the final battle, host Salman Khan asked both Shilpa and Hina to come out from the Big Boss house. And in front of the ex-contestants of season 11 and the families and friends of Hina and Shilpa, Salman announced the name of BB 11, which was of course Shilpa Shinde.
Although, Hina Khan couldn’t win the title, she was praised for her performance and never-give-up attitude, throughout her journey towards the finale. As, Salman said that she just missed by a very small margin of votes.
But, Shilpa Shinde was the fan favourite since many weeks and almost every person was hopeful that she will win the title, which she did, eventually. Apart from winning the trophy and the Big Boss winner title, Shilpa Shinde also took home the prize money of Rs.44 lakh.
