After launching the iconic Nokia 3310 (2017) feature phone and three Android-powered smartphones in India, Finnish start-up company HMD Global on Monday expanded its feature phone portfolio with the launch of two new feature phones – the Nokia 105 (2017) and the Nokia 130 (2017) in the Indian tech market. If you are not aware, HMD Global is a Finnish start-up company, which has the official permit to manufacture, distribute and sell Nokia-branded smartphones worldwide. Both the feature phones sport a new modern design, updated features and run on Nokia S30+ platform.

As for pricing, the Nokia 105 (2017) and Nokia 130 (2017) feature phones have been launched in India in single SIM and dual SIM variants. HMD Global has confirmed that the Nokia 105 (2017) will be made available for purchase in the Indian market starting July 19 (Wednesday) at a price tag of Rs. 999 for the single-SIM variant and Rs. 1,149 for the dual-SIM variant. The Nokia 105 feature phone will be sold via offline retail platforms across the country in three body colour options— Blue, White and Black options, all these shades come in matte finish. On the other hand, the Nokia 130 (2017) feature phone’s pricing and availability status are “coming soon” and we can expect it is likely to be priced a little higher than the Nokia 105 (2017) and lower than the nostalgic Nokia 3310 (2017). The Nokia 130 (2017) will also be sold via offline retail stores across the country in three body colour options— Red, Grey and Black colour options. Nokia 105 (2017) is globally priced at $14.50 (approx. Rs. 933) for the single SIM variant and $15 (approx. Rs. 965) for the dual-SIM variant. On the other hand, Nokia 130 is priced at $21.50 (approx. Rs. 1383).

Nokia 105 (2017) Specifications and Features:

Starting with the Nokia 105 (2017), the device sports a 1.8-inch QVGA colour display with a screen resolution of 240X320 pixels. In terms of memory, the new Nokia 105 (2017) is backed up by a 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage, which is claimed to let you store up to 500 text messages and up to 2,000 contacts. The Nokia Series 30+ platform-based device comes with a curved ergonomic polycarbonate body with a redesigned island style keypad.

Other features of Nokia 105 include a LED torchlight, a standard (3.5mm) headphone jack, a microUSB charging port and an FM Radio. The key highlight of the new Nokia 105 is its battery. It packs a removable 800mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to 15 hours of talk time and up to 1 month of standby time. Apart from these features, the Nokia 105 (2015) also comes pre-loaded with games like Snake Xenzia, Doodle Jump and Crossy Road. The device measures at 112.0 x 49.5 x 14.4mm and weighs 73 grams.

Nokia 130 (2017) Specifications and Features:

Moving on the Nokia 130 (2017), the feature phone sports a same 1.8-inch QVGA colour display with a screen resolution of 240X320 pixels. In terms of memory, the new Nokia 130 (2017) is backed up by a 4MB of RAM, 8MB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. On the camera front, new Nokia 130 (2017) features a VGA camera at the rear with video recording support.

Other features of Nokia 130 (2017) include a LED torchlight, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity and an in-built MP3 player to entertain you at certain times. On the battery front, the new Nokia 130 (2017) packs a decent 1020mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 11.5 hours of video playback, up to 44 hours of FM radio music playback with a headset and up to 1 month of standby time. Apart from these features, the Nokia 130 (2017) also comes pre-loaded with games like Snake Xenzia and five try-and-buy games from Gameloft. Dimensionally, the device measures at 111.5 x 48.4 x 14.2mm.
