Chinese PC and tablet manufacturer Lenovo has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new business-focused laptops with AMD Pro processors, called the ThinkPad A275 and ThinkPad A475. These newly launched machines are the company’s first business laptops to come with AMD Pro processors for multitasking power and hardware-level security. As for pricing, the ThinkPad A275 comes with a starting price of US$869 (approximately Rs. 55,600), while the ThinkPad A475 has been launched with a starting price of US$849 (approximately Rs. 54,300). The ThinkPad A275 will go on sale in October, while the A475 model will go on sale sometime later this month. Both the laptops sport almost same specifications and features except their display sizes.
In terms of specifications, the ThinkPad A275 comes equipped with a 12.5-inch display with anti-glare technology, while the ThinkPad A475 flaunts a 14-inch display with anti-glare technology. Base models have a screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, but buyers can also choose up to full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS displays with optional touchscreen. Technically speaking, both the business notebooks are powered by the seventh-generation AMD Pro A12 processors, which come coupled with AMD Radeon R7 integrated graphics, and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. In terms of storage, you can opt for a 1 TB SATA HDD storage or 512GB of M.2 NVMe SSD storage for faster data access speeds and boot-up times.

Ports on the business notebooks include two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C connector, one Gigabit Ethernet jack, one HDMI output, one 2-in-1 card reader, and one standard headphone jack port. USB Type-C port gives you hyper-fast data transfer speeds and easier device connections. Connectivity options offered by the notebooks include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.1 and LTE-A mobile broadband. Both the machines come packed with a powerful battery that is rated to deliver more than 10 hours of battery life. Dimension wise, the ThinkPad A275 measures 304.8 x 208.3 x 20.3 mm (W x D x H) and weighs only 1.3 kg. On the other hand, the ThinkPad A475 measures 335.3 x 231.1 x 20.3 and weighs 1.6 kg. The laptops also feature an optional fingerprint scanner, which is compatible with Windows Hello for biometric authentication process.

Besides these two new business-focused notebooks, the Chinese vendor also added new models in its popular ThinkCentre series: ThinkCentre M715 Tower and Small Form Factor (SFF) models. The ThinkCentre M715 series of machines are also equipped with AMD Pro or Ryzen Pro processors for intensive tasks such as graphic design, multimedia creation and number-crunching.
