Ever since his autobiography, An Ordinary Life, had gotten published, troubles have cropped up more than Nawazuddin Siddiqui would have expected. With shocking revelations in the book namely the infamous affair with his Miss Lovely co-star Niharika Singh and first girlfriend Sunita Rajwar were mentioned in the book, there has only been high negativity for the acclaimed Bollywood actor.
Although Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not commenting on the book and has been busy with his ongoing film projects, reports across certain sections of the media now state he might have lost a shot at portraying the role of Balasaheb Thackeray in the biopic of the founding father of Shiv Sena.
It is said Nawaz was indeed a serious contender for the role and that the controversy surrounding him and his book in recent times has now apparently come up as an obstacle in him securing the role. The Thackeray biopic is set to be produced by Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut under Abhijeet Panse’s direction.
Meanwhile, in response to Sunita Rajwar’s legal notice, the actor has stated that he was quoting another Sunita in his book and called it as a publicity stunt.
On the other hand, Sunita Rajwar has claimed that Nawazuddin had sent her a legal notice stating if she didn’t withdraw her case, he would see to it that she ends up in jail.
In her legal notice, Sunita had demanded an unconditional apology from Nawazuddin Siddiqui via the media and a compensation of Rs. 2 crores for damages incurred by all the parties quoted. She stated that the amount will be contributed towards charity and against sexual exploitation of women working in entertainment and media industry. Her notice also stated that in no way should Nawaz hereafter use her name in any publication in the future.
