Mersal has indeed left everyone stunned. The action entertainer directed by Atlee under the Thenandal Studios Limited banner is smashing records left and right at the box office.
The latest news is that Mersal has entered the £400K club in the United Kingdom making it the second time Vijay has reached the mark after his Theri last year.
As of now, Mersal with £403730 has surpassed the lifetime gross of Theri which stands at £403204.
This now makes ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay the first and only Tamil actor to have two £400K grossers in the UK.
In addition, Mersal is also en route to eclipsing Baahubali 2’s lifetime gross of £450K in the UK in the coming days. By doing so, Vijay’s latest film will take the second spot in the all-time numbers table right behind Rajinikanth’s Enthiran which stands at £611,966.
