Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications (RCom) on Sunday announced an affordable recharge plan, called the “RCom Rs. 33 Plan” for its prepaid subscribers. The RCom Rs. 33 recharge plan offers its customers 1GB of 4G data and 1 hour of voice calling with a validity of 2 days. Under this “Rs. 33 plan”, RCom customers from any corner of India (where RCom has its operations) recharging with Rs. 33 recharge plan can avail free 1 hour of unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 3G or 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data with a validity period of 2 days. Under this mouth-watering offer, the telco is offering both data and voice calling benefits for a limited period of time. Note that, the new recharge plan is applicable for all RCom prepaid subscribers across the country except the Gujarat circle. Further, the price of the new RCom Rs. 33 recharge plan will be varied depending on telecom circle.
The Anil Ambani-led telecom operator has recently called its customers to their network from 2G to 4G technology, as the RCom’s 2G spectrum will expire sometime later this month. RCom has already started sending SMS to all its Gujarat customers who have used 2G services. The company has requested to immediately shift to 4G network, otherwise, they can’t get 4G services anymore after this month.
A few days ago, Reliance Communications also announced a new tariff plan, called the Rs. 193 plan aka “ROZANA OFFER”, where the telecom operator offers its subscribers 1GB of 3G mobile data per day along with 30 minutes of voice calling facility to any network and any region in the country for a period of 28 days. All RCom prepaid subscribers with 3G or 4G-enabled handsets can avail this offer and enjoy the company’s best value voice and data proposition in the said period.
Besides this plan, there is also an affordable tariff plan, called the “RCom Rs. 147 Plan” for its prepaid subscribers. Under this “Rs. 147 tariff plan”, RCom customers from any corner of India (where RCom has its operations) recharging with Rs. 147 plan can avail 1GB of 3G mobile data per day for a period of 28 days, totalling 28GB of 3G mobile data for the period. Note that, the new tariff plan is applicable for RCom 3G customers only. On the other hand, the company’s Rs. 299 tariff plan offers its pre-paid customers unlimited voice calling, unlimited texts or SMS and unlimited mobile internet data for 28 days. Sadly, we don’t have any words about the RCom Rs. 299 recharge plan’s FUP details.
Besides these plans, RCom has a few more attractive plans such as the “Data Ki Azadi” plan, “Shagun” plan and much more. RCom “Data Ki Azadi” plan offers its prepaid subscribers 1GB of 2G mobile data per day for a period of 365 days or one year, totalling 365GB 2G data for the period. On the other hand, the RCom “Shagun” plan, which was launched by the telco in order to celebrate the Onam festival. Under this “Shagun” plan, RCom prepaid subscribers recharging with Rs. 101 can avail Rs. 50 talktime balance along with 1GB of mobile data with a validity period of 28 days.
With the launch of its new Rs. 33 plan and other mouth-watering recharge plans, Reliance Communications is aggressively going to compete against its rival telecom operators — Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel and others. Needless to say, in the Indian telecom industry, the “disruptive” entry of Reliance Jio is a great momentum behind the new-age telecom price war.
