South Korean tech giant Samsung on Friday launched its latest Android-powered budget smartphone, dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy Feel. The new device is now listed for pre-booking exclusively on NTT DoCoMo site, the largest mobile service provider in Japan. The pricing details of the Samsung Galaxy Feel has not been revealed by the company yet but looking at the specs we can expect this smartphone’s price will fall in the mid-range budget. The new smartphone comes in three different body colour variants– Opal Pink, Moon White, and Indigo Black and will go on sale in Japan sometime in the middle of June.

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy Feel sport a metal unibody design with a metal frame all around giving it an overall premium look. The smartphone also features capacitive navigation buttons below the display panel and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed underneath the Home Button of the device. The volume rockers are placed on the left-hand edge of the device, while the power/lock button sits on the right-hand edge of the smartphone. A 3.5mm audio socket is seen at the bottom edge of the handset along with a USB Type-C charging port sitting in the middle.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Feel features a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The device is powered by a 64-bit 1.6GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. In terms of memory, the Galaxy Feel comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Talking about its software fonts, Galaxy Feel runs Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The phone is also water and dust resistance with an IP6X rating.

In terms of photography, Samsung Galaxy Feel sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor for video calling and capturing selfies.

On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G with voLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port for superfast charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include an Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Fingerprint sensor and Proximity sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Feel is fuelled by a decent 3000mAh battery that is rated to offer up to 170 hours of standby time and the battery supports quick charging. The handset measures 138 x 67 x 8.3mm and weighs around 150 grams.
