There is a surprisingly shocking news for the entertainment lovers. According to latest news by Variety.com (which is confirmed), CW has cast actress Amy Jackson to play the character of ‘Saturn Girl’ in the hit TV series, Supergirl’s season 3, starring Melissa Benoist in the lead role of Superman’s cousin sister and a superhero.
Amy Jackson will now be making her first ever US tv debut, after working in Hindi and Tamil films. As per the reports, the Saturn Girl aka Imra Ardeen, is a strong-willed superhero who helps the ones in need and is a kind person at heart. She comes from Titan, one of planet Saturn’s moons and when the Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) gets to confront her biggest and deadly battle yet, she arrives on Earth to help her out.
Saturn Girl first appeared in the comics in 1958’s ‘Adventure Comics #247’ and is a member of Legion of Superheroes.
Supergirl Season 3 premiers from October 9, on Mondays at 8:00pm on The CW.
