Katrina Kaif-Salman Khan’s most awaited sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai proved to be what was expected of it, and even beyond that, what was predicted! The successor to 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger, opened with a loud roar at the domestic box-office, with 2nd biggest opening day of 2017!
The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial earned a humongous Rs.33.75 crore on day 1 across the country!
The reviews by critics were a bit mixed and harsh though, but it didn’t matter to the fans of Salman Khan and all the morning and evening shows were fully packed-up!
Still, considering the box-office records this year, Tiger Zinda Hai fell short of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’s day 1 collection of a whopping 41 crore in 2017 (collection of hindi dubbed version). And yes, as was predicted, Tiger Zinda Hai also couldn’t break Shah Rukh Khan’s 2014 blockbuster, Happy New Year’s all-time day 1 collection record of Rs.44.97 crore!
Meanwhile, going by the numbers, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the first day box-office figures for Tiger Zinda Hai and praised the movie’s performance.
