To celebrate the first anniversary of Innova Crysta, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a new variant of its multi-utility vehicle, Toyota Innova Touring Sport in India at an attractive price tag of Rs. 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The launch of new generation Innova Crysta Touring Sport also marks another milestone for Toyota as Innova Crysta MPV successfully completes its first anniversary in Indian market. When the Innova Crysta had launched in India last year, the company has received an overwhelming response from customers and has sold more than 85,000 cars in just one year.
However, based on the Innova Crysta, the new Innova Touring Sport will be available in manual and automatic transmission versions of both petrol and diesel powered engines and will cost only Rs 75,000 more than Toyota Innova Crysta (regular variants). The new Innova Touring Sport is only available in the seven seat option with the second row getting the much loved individual captain seats. The petrol variants of the the Innova Crysta Touring Sport is priced between Rs 17.79 lakh – 20.84 lakh and the cost of its diesel variants ranges from Rs 18.91 lakh – 22.15 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Launched in two colours– Wildfire Red and White Pearl Crystal Shine, Innova Touring Sport comes with more dynamic SUV-like styling with changes in exterior as well as interiors of the vehicle. The bookings for the new variant are open now, and the prices of all four variants of the new Innova Crysta Touring Sport are provided below.
As we discussed, the Innova Touring Sport is available in both petrol and diesel engine variants. In terms of performance, the petrol variant of Innova Touring Sport is available with a 2.7- litre engine, which makes 164 bhp of peak power at 5,200 rpm and 245 Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. The 2.7-litre engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a six-speed automatic transmission along with sequential shift. The diesel variant gets two engine options. The automatic Innova Crysta Touring Sport gets the 2.8-litre diesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift, which generates 172 bhp of power at 3,400 rpm and 360 Nm of torque from 1,200 rpm to 3,400 rpm. The diesel variant also gets the 2.4 litre engine with a five-speed manual transmission that makes 148 bhp of peak power and 343 Nm of peak torque.
The updates on the new Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport are mainly its cosmetic. On the exterior, the new Innova Touring Sport comes with an all-black front grille, smoked chrome finish along with smoked chrome headlamps and fog lamps, 16-inch matte black finished alloy wheels and black rear door garnish. There is also a black spoiler with chrome garnish on the front and rear bumpers.
On the inside, the new Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport gets premium finish interiors in shades of red. Other ornaments inside the cabin include a steering wheel finished in blackwood with red stitching, instrument panel with a red wood pattern, blackwood finish on rear door inner garnish, seat back table and console box. The Innova Touring Sport is also feature an 8-inch advanced entertainment system with voice command, new premium leather seat with sporty red stitch, smart entry key and automatic climate control.
On the safety front, the new Innova Touring Sport Edition gets Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist (BA), Hill assist control, Vehicle Stability control, height adjustable Seatbelt with Pre Tensioner and ISOFIX for child safety.
