After launching the Y5 2017 smartphone earlier this week, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei on Tuesday launched an another entry-level and budget-friendly Android smartphone, “Huawei Y7” in Europe. The pricing and availability of the Huawei Y7 has not been revealed by the company yet. Currently, the smartphone has been listed on Huawei’s online website. The new Huawei Y7 will be made available in 3 attractive body colour options including Prestige Gold, Silver and Grey. The main highlight of the phone is its massive 4000mAh battery and latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Huawei Y7 specifications and features: –

In terms of specifications, the Huawei Y7 sports a 5.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels and 2.5D glass on top. Huawei Y7 is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor (8 Corex-A53 processors) along with Adreno 505 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Talking about its software fonts, Huawei Y7 runs Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with company’s latest EMUI 5.1 custom skin running on top of the device. There is also a fingerprint scanner sits just beneath the primary camera found on the rear panel.

“EMUI 5.1 provides an in-depth customization and refreshing new interpretation of Android 7.0. With a brand new redesigned interface, over 90% of core operations can be completed in just 3 steps. And new features like Eye Comfort Mode helps you filter out blue light and provides relief to visual fatigue,” Huawei says on its official webpage.

In terms of photography, Huawei Y7 comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.25 μm pixel sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and LED flash. Talking about its selfie camera, Huawei Y7 sports an 8-megapixel camera for video calling and capturing selfies.

In terms of connectivity, the Huawei Y7 smartphone supports a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. Connectivity options on the device also include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / AGPS, Glonass, Navigation Satellite System, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensor on the device include Ambient light sensor, Digital Compass, Proximity sensor and Gravity sensor. Huawei Y7 is fuelled by a high-density 4000mAh battery which claims to deliver up to 15 hours of internet browsing and up to 20 hours of video playback. The device measures at 153.6 x 76.4 x 8.35mm and weighs about 165 grams (including battery).
