Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer Acer has recently expanded its gaming series notebook portfolio with the launch of a new gaming notebook, dubbed as the “Acer Predator Helios 300” in the Indian tech market with a starting price of Rs. 1,29,999. In the Indian market, the Acer Predator Helios 300 has been launched by the company in two variants: Acer Predator Helios 300 with 7th generation Intel Core i5 7300HQ CPU and Acer Predator Helios 300 with 7th generation Intel Core i7 7700HQ CPU. As for pricing, the Acer Predator Helios 300 with Intel Core i5 CPU variant has been launched in the country with a starting price of Rs. 1,29,999, while for the top-end variant with Intel Core i7 7700HQ CPU, you have to pay Rs. 1,49,999. Carried a such an attractive price tag, the new Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via e-commerce website Flipkart.com in matte black colour option. The Acer Predator Helios 300 was first announced in April 2017 at the Next@Acer global press conference in New York along with the company’s high-end Triton 700.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming machine is specially designed for casual gamers and enthusiasts, as it comes packed with dedicated gaming powers. Apart from this, the Predator Helios 300 comes with a stylish matte black chassis with red accents and aggressive air vents and company’s proprietary PredatorSense software, which allows users to control and customize a host of features such as real-time system information, cooling and overclocking. The laptop also comes equipped with an Iron Red backlit keyboard, WASD keys and a smooth Multi Gesture touchpad, which are also outlined in red. The Acer Predator Helios 300 also features Dolby Audio Premium with company’s TrueHarmony technology that provides smooth, rich, and crystal-clear sound experience to users in music, movies, voice, and even gaming. To counter the thermal issue, the compact gaming machine features the company’s new AeroBlade 3D Fan with ultra-thin metal blades, which keeps the laptop cool during heavy gaming sessions.

Technically speaking, the Acer Predator Helios 300 comes equipped with a 15.6-inch full-HD Backlit IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Under the hood, the machine is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i7 7700HQ or 7th generation Intel Core i5 7300HQ processors clubbed with 8GB of DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 32GB), 4GB of DDR5 VRAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card for ultra-smooth and flawless visuals. The machine can also be further configured with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card. In terms of storage, you can opt for a 1TB 5400 RPM HDD, or upgrade to 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD combo for faster data access speeds and boot-up times.
Ports on the laptop include one USB 3.1 Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port with power-off USB charging, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one 3.5mm headphone Jack port, one 2-in-1 Card Reader slot (SD, SDXC) and one Gigabit Ethernet port for wired connections. The connectivity options offered by the laptop include 802.11 ac (2×2 MIMO) technology and Bluetooth 4.0. On the battery front, the Acer Predator Helios 300 comes packed with a 4 Cell Battery and that has been claimed to deliver a battery life of up to 9 hours. Dimensionally, the notebook measures 390 x 266 x 26.75 mm and weighs around 2.7 kg.
