Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar of the Indian film industry, shared his debut film Saat Hindustani’s poster on Twitter, which was released 47 years ago. Big B, as he is fondly known, said he was blessed to spend more than four decades in the industry.
The movie Saat Hindustani, was directed by Khwaja Ahmed Abbas and Khan is the story of seven Indians who tried liberating Goa from Portuguese rule. It was released in 1969.
Bachchan tweeted, ” Goodness me. 47 years in the industry for me. And the love of the well wishers even after 47 years. I feel so blessed. ”
Big B almost went unnoticed in the film and had to struggle for some years to gain recognition. His Height and gangly frame did not fit the ideal Indian film hero mould. With Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Anand, the industry sat up and took notice. His big break came with Zanjeer, where the kernel of his angry young man avatar was sown.
This success was followed by Deewar, Trishul, Sharaabi, Namak Halaal, Mr. Natwarlal and Amar Akbar Anthony.
Koffee With Karan will host Sonam and Kareena Kapoor
Actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together on Karan Johar’s show ” Koffee with Karan“. Both of them are known for speaking their heart out. They will also come together in a new film ” Veere Di Wedding” .
