South Korean multinational electronics giant, LG on Wednesday launched a model of the 2017 K series of smartphones in India, and it is the LG K10(2017). The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 13,990. The K10 (2017) will be available from tomorrow, February 23 onwards in retail stores and will go on sale via major online retail stores from Sunday, February 26. The phone comes in three colour options – Black, Gold and Titanium. The LG K10 has first unveiled ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show 2017.
At an event in New Delhi today, the company said K10 (2017) smartphone comes with a special “panic button” as per the Government of India guidelines. The SOS “panic button” that allows users to connect to emergency number ‘112’. Users can activate the SOS feature by pressing the clickable fingerprint scanner on the back three times. The “panic button” service is proposed to be universal number for various emergency services that would be similar to the ’911′ all-in-one emergency service used in America. The government had mandated that all mobile phones in the country will be sold with panic button feature with the deadline now set for February 28.
Earlier this year, LG unveiled its 2017 K-series of smartphones – the LG K3 (2017), LG K4 (2017), LG K8 (2017), and LG K10 (2017). All these mid-range smartphones come with rear fingerprint scanner and a 120-degree wide-angle front camera lens.

The panic button, 112, is a great initiative and we must applaud the efforts of LG Electronics who is developing technology for the betterment of the society,” Union IT and Electronics Minister for Communications and chief guest Ravi Shankar Prasad, who unveiled the smartphone, told media at the launch event.
LG K10 (2017) SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES: –
Talking about its specifications, LG K10 (2017) smartphone features a 5.3-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) In-cell Touch display paired with a 2.5D Arc Glass design. The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. On the storage department, the LG K10 (2017) comes in two internal storage variants namely 16GB and 32GB, that are further expandable by up to 2TB via a hybrid microSD card slot. On the software front, the dual-SIM smartphone runs on latest Android version, 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
For photography enthusiasts, the K10 (2017) sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a CMOS sensor and LED flash featuring with an ultra-bright f/2.2 aperture that catches light even in the dimmest conditions for your clear, sharp, and sharable moments. The primary camera is capable of shooting videos in Full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps. On the front, the K10 (2017) bears a 5-megapixel selfie Camera with Auto Shot and a 120-degree wide-angle selfie lens. This front shooter is also capable of shooting videos in Full HD 1080p video recording.
In terms of Connectivity Options, the K10 (2017) supports Hybrid dual-SIM dual standby using the (nano-SIM + nano-SIM) slot. Connectivity options also include 4G LTE with HD voice over VoLTE & ViLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, stereo FM radio with RDS, Micro-USB 2.0 with OTG support and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone also supports 9 regional languages.
The smartphone is backed by a removable Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery. It measures 148.7 x 75.3 x 7.9 mm and weighs around 142 grams. The phone also includes ambient light sensor, magnetometer (digital compass), accelerometer and a proximity sensor.
