Manny Pacquiao announced his return to boxing. Pacquiao held a poll on social media for his fans to pick his next opponent. The fans chose British boxer Amir Khan as the Pac-man’s next opponent. After negotiations between the two camps Manny Pacquiao announced the fight via twitter. Amir Khan later confirmed that he indeed would be meeting the legend in the ring in April.
The fight has been long time in the making. The boxers were linked before as well but according to sources Manny Pacquiao pulled out of a chance to fight the British star.
Amir “King” Khan will look to bounce back from his last loss. King Khan was brutally knocked out by Canelo Alvarez last May in a middleweight bout. Amir is known purely for his excellent hand speed that has troubled many boxers in the past. The only problem in Amir’s game is his defense. For what all Amir has achieved in the sport his defense remains sub par.

Amir will go up against a man also known for his speed, Manny Pacquiao. The Pac-man is a legend of the sport with a massive 59 wins in his career. Furthermore with an excellent footwork and ability to swarm opponents with a flurry of punches, Manny Pacquiao still remains quick for his age. Being a southpaw, The Pacman has a mean left hand which is known to be his main weapon.
The fight venue is yet to be confirmed. Arenas in Dubai, UAE are being looked at for hosting the fight. Pacquiao had recently said that his next fight would take place in UAE.
The fight is set to go down on April 23 at a yet to be announced venue. Manny Pacquiao will look to remain in the win column and also retain his Welterweight title while Amir’s carrer will get a big boost if he manages to defeat the Pacman.
