A Fir has been filed against the founder of The Viral Fever (TVF) Arunabh Kumar in Mumbai by an unknown complainant.
Lawyer Rizwan Siddique filed the FIR.
A photo of the FIR has been doing the rounds on Twitter. According to the photo of the FIR, the case has been filed under Indian Penal Code sections 354, 354-A, 354-D and 509.
These sections refer to a demand or request for sexual favors, stalking and insulting the modesty of a woman.
According to Lawyer Rizwan Siddique,”The police were showing their helplessness, asking what they could do since the women alleging sexual harassment by Arunabh Kumar have not filed a police complaint so far.”That was the reason that prompted him to file this case,”he said.
The report also has accounts of the other women as well who spoke about the sexual harassment and there is also an account of a human rights activist filing the complaint on the matter with the State Women’s Commission as well.
On 12th March, the whole fiasco started with an anonymous Medium blog going viral on the social media. What followed was later with numerous women agreeing with the blogger against the sexual harassment with the TVF celebrity. And a very arrogant response from Arunabh Kumar.
