After a series of many revelations and leaks, China-based Oppo is all set to launch their Oppo F3 Selfie-centric smartphone in India on Thursday (May 4), at an event in Mumbai that is scheduled to take place at 12:30pm IST. The company has already sent out media invites for the launch event and they also will be live-streaming the launch event, you can watch it right here. Previously, Oppo had launched the Oppo F3 Plus in March with 16MP+8MP dual front camera setup and 120-degree wide angle lens. At that time, the company had revealed the Oppo F3 smartphone will be launched in the country soon. The company has partnered with Tollywood movie, Baahubali to launch its new selfie-centric F3 smartphone. Oppo F3 is the second smartphone of company’s ‘Selfie-Expert’ line-up, to sport a dual front-facing camera setup. So, now let’s talk about its features and specifications.
Oppo F3 Features & Specifications: –
Based on the leaked images and news, Oppo F3 smartphone features a 5.5 inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Oppo F3 is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6750T processor along with Mali T860 GPU. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot. Talking about its software fonts, the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s ColorUI 3.0 skin running on top of the device.
In terms of photography, Oppo F3 comes with a 16 Megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor rear camera with Dual Focus Phase Detection Autofocus(PDAF) and Dual tone LED flash. It also comes with dual camera setup with 120-degree wide angle lens on the front, just like Oppo F3 plus. It packs a 16 Megapixel selfie and 8 Megapixel wide angle camera for group selfies. The 16-MP front camera with 1/3-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture is able to offer selfies with decent details even in low lighting conditions and produce low-noise shots. The 120° wide-angle 8-MP sensor is also likely to capture larger and broader frames than many of the standard cameras.
On the front of the device, there will be a capsule-sized home button with the fingerprint scanner embedded. In terms of connectivity options, the 4G VoLTE-enabled Oppo F3 features a hybrid Dual SIM card slot that supports nano SIM cards. Connectivity options also include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / A-GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB v2.0 and Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano + Nano). Oppo F3 measures 153.3 x 75.2 x 7.3mm and weighs about 153 grams.
The smartphone houses a 3200mAh non-removable battery and built for fast charging (the smartphone will have company’s exclusive VOOC Flash Charge technology). Oppo F3 Plus was launched in India at a price tag of Rs 30,990. Being a smaller sized device, Oppo F3 is expected to be launched with a price tag of Rs. 22,000-Rs. 24,000 in India.
