After a series of leaks and revelations, the Chinese smartphone company Oppo launched the selfie-focused smartphone, the Oppo F3, at an event in India on Thursday at a price tag of Rs 19,990. During the launch event, Oppo the official partner of the BCCI also unveiled the new Indian cricket team jersey. The Oppo F3 smartphone can be considered as a slightly stripped down version of its predecessor F3 Plus. The Oppo F3 will be available for pre-order from today, until May 12, 2017 and the first sale will be on May 13 2017 in both online (exclusively on Flipkart) and offline retail stores.

Interested customers can also register their pre-order in offline through OPPO’s exclusive retail stores. Additionally, the brand will also have a lucky draw opportunity with the pre-order entries, and at least 3 lucky winners will get a chance to see the ICC finals live in London. E-commerce website Flipkart is also offering a pre-bundled gift which is a Selfie Stick and a Bahubali movie theme Case along with this smartphone. The main USP of the phone is the dual front-facing camera setup, one of the camera is a 16-megapixel standard lens and another front camera stands at 8-megapixel with 120-degree wide-angle lens. Just like the Oppo F3 Plus front camera, “one for selfie, one for group selfie”.

Oppo F3 Specifications:-

In terms of specifications, Oppo F3 smartphone sports a 5.5 inch In-Cell TFT Full HD 2.5D curved glass Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Oppo F3 is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750T6 octa-core processor along with Mali T860 GPU. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Talking about its software fonts, the dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) Oppo F3 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s ColorUI 3.0 skin running on top of the device. Interestingly, there is a new feature called “Clone Apps” that allows you to use two WhatsApp accounts on the smartphone. In terms of design, the Oppo F3 looks similar to the Oppo F3 Plus that was launched in March.

In terms of photography, Oppo F3 comes with a 13 Megapixel 1.3-inch sensor rear camera with Dual Focus Phase Detection Autofocus(PDAF), dual tone LED flash and full HD 1080p video recording. Talking about its selfie camera, Oppo F3 comes with a dual front camera setup, which includes a 16-megapixel 1.3-inch primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with 120-degree wide-angle view for group selfies. The smartphone comes with a Smart Facial Recognition feature that will automatically notify users to switch to ‘Group Selfie’ mode if there are more than three people in the frame. The Oppo F3 comes with various camera features, including the Beautify 4.0 app, Screen Flash, Selfie Panorama and Palm Shutter.

Oppo F3 sports a full-metal unibody design with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner that unlock the smartphone in as little as 0.2 seconds. The F3 comes with two different slots for two different SIM cards (Nano + Nano) and a separate slot for a micro-SD card. On the connectivity front, the device support 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS and microUSB v2.0 for charging and data transfer. Oppo F3 is fuelled by a non-removable 3200mAh battery and the device measures at 153.3 x 75.3 x 7.3mm and weighs about 153 grams.
