Opera Max, the powerful data savings and data management app for Android users, has just received a fresh update yesterday that completely transforms the visual experiences with the new UI. Apart from a few changes in the user interface layout, the Opera Max 3.0.30 version has also brought along some performance improvements. The update, which goes by the version number of 3.0.30 from its previous version 2.8.56 makes it easy to view data usage by different apps.
The update includes “Save mobile data” and “Save Wi-Fi data”, “Privacy mode” and “Manage Apps” tools mainly. Under navigation drawer, you find a tab bar at the bottom, which holds these options. “This is a major update with an all new design, optimised for easier use of the powerful data savings and data management tools inside Opera Max, ” said the company in statement.
The most notable addition to the Android app is the new design and smart functionality, which was optimized to make Opera Max easier to use. The developers have installed a step-by-step tutorial that triggers when you open Opera Max for the first time. The new and simplified user interface can show a “app by app” mobile and Wi-Fi data usage and also provide users personalised advice on how to reduce wasted data. Tip cards in the home feed will suggest the most efficient way to use your mobile data plan and help manage your apps’ data consumption.
Additionally, the new version of Opera Max brings a new data-saving technology specifically for Facebook, in the form of its own built-in Facebook web app. Users will find “Savings for Facebook” shortcut created in Opera Max or their Android home screen and they can launch Opera Max’s Facebook web app with just one tap. In addition to basic VPN connection abilities, Opera Max 3.0.30 version introduces a fancy new design and will offer users new tips to maximize their data savings on Facebook usage.
Opera Max users will now be able to benefit from all Facebook friends’ updates, browse news and chat through instant messaging app while saving up to 50% of their data plan. In addition to this, users will also be able to save up to 60% data for Instagram, 50% for Pinterest and 40% for BlackBerry Messenger, LINE and Zalo. The new version also brings some helpful security updates that include warning about external threats and providing data encryption from a public Wi-Fi.
“We hope the new Opera Max will give you more power to put your data usage and app privacy under your control. These advanced features are very powerful but super easy to use with our all new Max 3.0 design,” Sergey Lossev, Head of Product, Opera Max said in a blog post.
