After the launch of Horizon 1 smartphone last month, the leading Japanese technology company Sansui on Friday announced its second version of the Horizon series smartphone in the Indian tech market, dubbed as “Sansui Horizon 2”. The main USP (unique selling point) of the Horizon 2 smartphone is its MiraVision display technology, just like the Videocon’s Krypton 22 smartphone. MiraVision technology offers a range of visual enhancements for images and videos on the device, while preserving battery power. The device also features an IR Blaster that can be used as a remote to control third-party electronics & appliances like set-top boxes, audio consoles, TVs, fans, air conditioners or DVD players. Priced at Rs. 4,999, the Sansui Horizon 2 will be made available exclusively on e-commerce website Flipkart.com from Monday, May 15 in Rose Gold and Silver Grey colour variants.

The dual-SIM Sansui Horizon 2 features a 5-inch LCD display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The display also comes with MiraVision technology that uses MediaTek’s algorithms. The device is powered by a 64-Bit 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. On the software front, Sansui Horizon 2 runs on Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In terms of photography, the Sansui Horizon 2 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, fixed focus and Night Vision recording features. The camera app features also include face detection (Number of Faces), HDR, panorama, continuous shots (3/6/10). On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies and video calling with Face Beauty feature.
In terms of connectivity, the Sansui Horizon 2 offers various connectivity options including 4G voLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, a 3.5mm Audio port, and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. The Horizon 2 supports USB On-The-Go (OTG) for pen drives and other USB-powered accessories. Sensors on the device include ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity sensor. The smartphone is backed by a 2450mAh battery and measures at 146.8 x 74.7 x 9.15 mm.
