The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is expected to launch its next Redmi Pro successor, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 in a couple of months. But surprisingly the smartphone was found listed on the company’s official website Mi.com for a brief period of time, revealing few of its specifications and pricing. A fresh listing of Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 on Mi.com (Xiaomi’s China website) first spotted by GizmoChina reveals some its specifications and pricing. Before the page was quickly taken down by the company, GizmoChina just managed to capture the screenshot of the listing on website. On Xiaomi’s official website, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 was listed at a retail price of CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs. 11,300).
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 key specifications:
As per Xiaomi’s official listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will have a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, just like the Redmi Pro. The device is expected to be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor, instead of the Helio X20 and Helio X25 SoCs. In terms of photography, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is expected to sport a 16-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The device will come loaded with a powerful 4100mAh battery and will be priced at CNY 1,199 (approx. Rs. 11,300) for its 2GB RAM variant.
To recall, the first-gen of Redmi Pro was launched in three variants– 2.1GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 (3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage) priced at CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 14,000), 2.3GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 (3GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage) priced at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 16,000), and 2.5GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 (4GB + 128GB) priced at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 19,000). The second-gen Redmi Pro is expected to have a metal unibody design with 2.5D curved glass on top of the display and is expected to house a fingerprint scanner on its back panel.
