After launching its new flagship R11 smartphone in China earlier this week, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo on Friday announced its another flagship smartphone, dubbed as “Oppo R11 Plus” in company’s homeland, China. The pricing details and the international availability of the Oppo R11 Plus have not been revealed by the company yet but the earlier rumours have suggested that the younger sibling of Oppo R11 will be carried a price tag of $559 (approximately Rs. 36,000). The new Oppo R11 Plus will be made available for purchase in China sometime later this month in three different body colour variants– Gold, Rose Gold and Black. The key highlights of the Oppo R11 Plus are its huge 6-inch AMOLED display, 20-megapixel front-facing camera, the 20MP + 16MP dual rear-facing shooters and the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

In terms of design, the Oppo R11 Plus sports a sleek, all-metal body with thin bezels giving it an overall premium look. Basically, the Oppo R11 Plus looks very identical to the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, including its horizontal rear-side dual camera arrangement. The new Oppo R11 Plus also feature capacitive navigation buttons and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed underneath the physical Home Button of the device. The volume rockers are placed on the left-hand edge, while the power/lock button is situated on the right-hand edge of the smartphone. A 3.5mm audio socket and the speaker grilles are seen at the bottom edge of the handset along with a USB Type-C charging port sitting in the middle. The rear panel houses a 20MP + 16MP dual rear camera setup with a LED flash module, while the top front panel features an another 20MP selfie camera and an earpiece.

Oppo R11 Plus Specifications and Features:

As far as specifications are concerned, the Oppo R11 Plus sports a gigantic 6-inch AMOLED Full-HD 2.5D curved glass display with a with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display is also protected by the scratch resistance Corning Gorilla Glass. The device is powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the Oppo R11 Plus is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Oppo R11 Plus runs company’s ColorOS 3.1 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Talking about its photography department, the new Oppo R11 Plus features a dual rear-camera setup with a LED flash. One camera sports a 20-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens and an f/2.6 aperture, while another camera comes with a 16-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens and an f/1.7 aperture. The rear camera features include 2x lossless Zoom, Portrait Mode, and Qualcomm Spectra ISP for image processing. On the front, there is a 20-megapixel front-facing shooter with an f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies and making video calls.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) Oppo R11 Plus offers various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac), Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-Type C port for superfast charging and data transfer. The Oppo R11 Plus is juiced up by a high-density 4,000mAh non-removable battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge technology for fast charging. The company claims that the Oppo R11 Plus will require only 30 minutes to charge the battery Zero (0) to 75 percent. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Fingerprint (front-mounted), Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, E-compass, and Gyroscope sensor. Dimension wise, the handset measures 165.8 × 81.5 × 7.8 mm and weighs 188 grams.
