Lenovo-owned Motorola on Monday officially launched the “Plus” variant of its recently launched Moto C phone, dubbed as the “Moto C Plus” in the Indian smartphone market. Priced at Rs. 6,999, the new Moto C Plus will be made available for purchase starting June 20 (Tuesday) via exclusively on e-commerce website Flipkart.com in three body colour options— Black, Gold and White. Note that, the Moto C Plus sale will be live for a limited period only. The company also announced a best buying offer for the new Moto C Plus. As a part of an introductory offer, those consumers, who purchase a Moto C Plus in tomorrow, they will get a benefit of extra 20 percent discount on Flipkart Fashion and a Motorola Pulse Max wired headphone (worth Rs. 2,499) with the purchase of the Moto C Plus smartphone at Just Rs. 749. Additionally, the Reliance Jio users who subscribe to Jio Prime membership will also get up to 30GB of additional 4G mobile data on the purchase of newly launched Moto C Plus.
Moto C Plus Design:
In terms of design, Moto C Plus is very identical to its smaller sibling Moto C with respect to design. The smartphone sports a micro-textured back cover and Motorola’s iconic design, giving it a simple and classy look. The volume rockers as well as the power/lock buttons are placed on the right-hand edge of the device and a 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the very top of the phone. The speaker grille is seen at the back side of the device and a microUSB 2.0 charging port is sitting on the very top edge of the mobile. Like the Moto C, the Moto C Plus smartphone is seen sporting capacitive navigation buttons, just below the display panel, while the top display panel houses a selfie camera, an LED flash and an earpiece. As mentioned earlier, Moto C Plus sports a similar design to the Moto C, except some internal changes such as screen resolution, processing power, camera unit and battery.
Moto C Plus Specifications:
In terms of specifications, Moto C Plus sports a 5-inch IPS HD display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737M quad-core Cortex-A53 processor along with Mali-T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Talking about its software fonts, the Moto C Plus runs Google’s latest and stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
In terms of optics, the Moto C Plus features an 8-megapixel rear sensor with 1.12 micron pixels, autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, 71-degree field of view, an LED flash module and 720p video recording. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter with an LED flash for capturing selfies and making video calls even in low light.
In terms of connectivity, Moto C Plus offers various connectivity options including Dual-SIM dual standby, 4G voLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. The Moto C Plus comes packed with a powerful 4000mAh removable battery with rapid charging technology support. The company claims that the smartphone can deliver up to 30 hours of battery backup. The handset measures at 144 x 72.3 x 10 mm and weighs 162 grams.
