Xiaomi’s popular budget smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi 4 will go on sale in India at 12 pm IST on Tuesday via the e-commerce website, Amazon India and Xiaomi’s official e-commerce website, Mi.com. To recall, the Redmi 4 was launched in India in May this year with a starting price of Rs. 6,999. The Redmi 4 comes in three different variants based on their RAM and internal storage capacity, the 2GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been priced at Rs 6,999, the 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage variant is priced Rs 8,999, while for 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage option, you have to pay Rs 10,999. The device comes in Black and Gold colour variants.

The e-commerce portal Amazon India has offered some mind-blowing sale offers for those who decide to purchase the Redmi 4 from their website. Xiaomi Redmi 4 sale offers on Amazon India include free 12-month Hungama Music and 3-month Hungama Play subscriptions for Xiaomi Redmi 4 buyers. Those customers, who register on the Amazon Kindle app on the Redmi 4 will get a credit of Rs 200. The e-commerce site is also offering a 45GB of 4G data offer for 5 months from Vodafone. On Mi.com, the company is offering 10 percent SuperCash to Redmi 4 buyers who pay with MobiKwik, and free 12-month Hungama Music subscription.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 Specifications

Just in case you’d forgotten, the dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved glass coating on top. Redmi 4 is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the phone is backed up by a 2GB / 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software fonts, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 runs on company’s proprietary MIUI 8 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The smartphone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

For photography, the Redmi 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, a 5 element lens, real-time filter and 1080p scale video recording. On the front, there’s a 5-megapixel front with f/2.2 aperture for video calls and capturing selfies. The device also features an IR Blaster (infrared sensor) that can be used as a universal remote to control third-party electronics & appliances like set-top boxes, audio consoles, TVs, fans, air conditioners or DVD players.

In terms of connectivity, this Redmi 4 smartphone supports dual-SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM configuration (Micro-SIM + nano-SIM/microSD) slot. Connectivity options on the device also include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack and a MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, E-Compass and Gyroscope sensor. The Redmi 4 comes packed with a powerful 4100 mAh non-removable battery that is rated to deliver up to 18 days of standby time and last for two days under regular usage conditions. Dimensionally, the handset measures 139.3 x 69.9 x 8.65 mm and weighs 150 grams.
