Asus partners with Reliance Jio to offer up to 100GB additional 4G data on purchase of select Asus smartphones

Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus on Friday announced its partnership with the Indian telecom giant Reliance Jio to offer up to 100GB additional 4G mobile data for those consumers who have bought a newly launched Asus smartphone. Under the Asus-Jio “Additional Data Offer”, customers buying a new Asus smartphone can avail up to 10GB additional 4G data per month for up to 10 recharges or up to 100GB additional 4G data benefits for 10 months. Note that, the new offer is only applicable for Jio Prime subscribers who have purchased select Asus smartphones on or after June 16, 2017.

Eligible smartphones include Zenfone Selfie, Zenfone Max, Zenfone Live, Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE, Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE, Zenfone Go 5.5 LTE, Zenfone 2, Zenfone 2 Laser, Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5, Zenfone 3S Max, Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Max 5.2, Zenfone 3 Max 5.5, Zenfone Zoom, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Ultra, Zenfone 3 5.2, and Zenfone 3 5.5.

The Taiwanese company says that all the eligible customers will get an additional 4G data voucher with every recharge of Rs. 309 or above. There is an upper limit of up to 10 recharges, and the offer is valid until March 31, 2018. Under the Reliance Jio terms and conditions, this additional 4G data voucher will be credited to the eligible subscriber’s account within 48 hours after doing the recharge.

The announcement comes almost one week after Xiaomi announced its partnership with Reliance Jio to offer up to 30GB 4G mobile data benefits with the purchase of select Xiaomi smartphones. Gionee also announced its partnership with Reliance Jio to offer up to 60GB 4G data with the purchase of select Gionee smartphones. A few days ago, Vodafone also announced its partnership with HMD Global to provide additional 4G data benefits on purchase of newly launched Android-powered Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones in India.

The Asus-Jio additional data value totally depends on your buying priority, as both the company has divided these eligible smartphones into three groups.

In order to activate this additional 4G data offer on Asus smartphones, users will need to download the MyJio app from Google Play Store to manage their account. In MyJio app, users will have to go to the ‘My Vouchers’ option, followed by ‘View Voucher’ and ‘Recharge my number’ and ‘confirm recharge’. Then it will show a notification for a successful recharge.
