After launching the FRC 348 plan, Indian mobile network operator Aircel on Monday launched a new tariff plan, called the “RC 333 Pack” for the residents of Karnataka. The new RC 333 Pack offers its subscribers 30GB of 3G data for a period of 30 days with no daily data usage limits. Under this “RC 333” special plan, customers recharging with Rs. 333 can avail 30GB of 3G data with no daily limits for a period of 30 days. Aircel subscribers in Karnataka will be able to recharge the new data plan via e-recharge or by dialling USSD -*121*333#. All Aircel subscribers with 2G, 3G or 4G-enabled handsets can avail this offer and enjoy the company’s “best ever” value data proposition in the circle.
Commenting on the new data plan launch, Kanwarbir Singh, Circle Business Head, Karnataka region, Aircel, said, “With an overall upsurge in the smartphone users in India, our newly introduced data recharge RC 333 will provide the consumers to have an uninterrupted access to the internet with best value for money products and enjoy the unexplored world of videos, music, movies and entertainment. RC 333 is by far the best value proposition in the market as the offer is open for all customers with all types of handsets be it 2G, 3G or 4G.”
The announcement comes just four days after Aircel announced an affordable First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 348 for the Uttar Pradesh (East) subscribers. The First Recharge Coupon 348 offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling (Local & STD) and 1GB 3G data per day for 84 days. Under this “FRC 348” special plan, customers recharging with Rs. 348 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 2G or 3G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totalling 84GB 3G data for the period. And now it seems like the Aircel is finally gearing up to compete against its rival telecom operators — Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Idea Cellular.
In the Indian telecom industry, the entry of Reliance Jio is a great momentum behind the new-age price war. Reliance Jio rolled out its services officially on 1 September 2016, and now it has already crossed over 100 million user base. The Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has recently extended its “Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan” offer with a new Rs. 399 plan. Under Reliance Jio’s new Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Jio Prime members can avail unlimited calls and SMSes, 1GB 4G mobile data per day (84GB data for 84days) at a recharge of Rs. 399.
BSNL has recently launched a special promotional offer, called the “BSNL Chaukka-444”, where it offers unlimited data including 4GB 3G data per day for a period of 90 days on a recharge of just Rs 444. So, 1GB of 3G mobile data will cost less than a rupee, which is the lowest in the telecom sector. BSNL’s Triple Ace 333 plan offers unlimited 3G data for three months with a FUP limit of 3GB per day, that means customers recharging with Rs. 333 can avail a total of 270GB 3G data for 90 days. On the other hand, Idea Cellular recently unveiled a new plan, offering 1GB data per day along with unlimited calls (same network Local+STD) at a recharge of Rs. 396. Bharti Airtel is also offering 1GB 4G data per day with unlimited calls (same network Local+STD) at a recharge of Rs. 244. Last month, Vodafone also announced the launch of its “Ramzan 786 Plan” that gives unlimited voice calling (local & STD), unlimited national roaming, and 25GB 3G/4G data.
