Jagga Jasoos is trying to remain moving on the box-office track but the recent performance in past 2-3 days saw the film coming down in terms of ticket sales. Anurag Basu’s directorial, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif is going through a rough time this week after Saturday and Sunday saw the film rising, in its opening weekend. Despite starting with Rs.8.57 crores on Friday last week, the Disney production made 11.53 crores and 13.07 crores respectively, on Saturday and Sunday.
It was hoped that after the film earned a decent amount on 15th and 16th July, it would go strong in the second week, no matter if gradually. But Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have proved to be a declining phase for Jagga Jasoos. The film did poorly on part of the ticket sales and continued to drop towards a lower earnings. In the last three days, the film has descended from 4.05 crores on Monday, then 3.48 crores on Tuesday to 3.05 crores on Wednesday.
When coming to its total cum on the box-office, the movie has till now made about just Rs.43.75 crores in 6 days of its run. Going by these figures, it seems that getting past its own total cost of production won’t be any way easier for Jagga Jasoos.
On the other hand, the reviews have been pretty good for the film and kids have also liked the movie. But the actual picture on the box-office registers is surely going to hurt the film in the coming days.
