Soon after launching the LYF C459 smartphone in India, Domestic handset manufacturer LYF, also known as Reliance LYF on Wednesday expanded its “Connect” series smartphone portfolio with the launch of a new 4G VoLTE-enabled handset, called the “Reliance LYF C451” in the Indian tech market. Priced at Rs. 4,999, the new Reliance LYF C451 is now already made available for purchase in India exclusively via Reliance Jio online store and Reliance Digital stores in White colour option. The Reliance LYF C451 is a new member of company’s popular Connect series that we have seen the recently launched Reliance LYF C459 with 4G VoLTE support and now the LYF C451 can be considered as an upgraded version of the LYF C459.

Reliance LYF C451 Design:

In terms of design, the Reliance LYF C451 sports a sleek polycarbonate body with gold rims all around, giving it an overall simple and fresh look. The smartphone also features capacitive touch navigation buttons and a physical Home button. The volume up-down keys and power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the handset, while a 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the very top edge of the device. The speaker grills are situated at the rear end and a microUSB 2.0 charging port is still positioned on the very bottom edge of the smartphone. The rear panel of the smartphone houses a 5MP rear camera setup with an LED flash module, while the top front panel features a 2MP selfie camera, sensors, and an earpiece.

Reliance LYF C451 Specifications and Features:

In terms of specifications, the Reliance LYF C451 flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and scratch resistance 2D Asahi Glass coating on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the LYF C451 is backed up by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. On the software front, the LYF C451 runs on Google’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box.

For photography, the Reliance LYF C451 features a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash module. On the front, the smartphone sports a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for capturing selfies and making video calls. The camera features on the smartphone include Face detection, Multi-shot, Panorama, Geo tagging, Touch to focus, Red eye detection, Smile detection, and much more.

On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM Reliance LYF C451 offers various connectivity options which include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and Ambient Light Sensor. On the battery front, the Reliance LYF C451 comes packed with a powerful 2,800mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 12.5 hours of talk-time on 4G network, up to 45 hours of audio playback, up to 6 hours of video playback time and up to 240 hours of standby time. Apart from this, the smartphone also comes with gesture control like Music player control gestures, Lock screen gestures, Double tap to wake, Flip to mute, Slide down to launch the camera and draw gesture characters C, E, O, W, to launch the apps. Dimension wise, the handset measures 139 x 66.5 x 9.8 mm and weighs 165 grams.
