After launching the Y69 smartphone in India last month, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo on Thursday announced the launched of its latest selfie-centric smartphone with FullView display, dubbed as the “Vivo V7+” at an event in Mumbai, India. The Vivo V7+ is the new member of the company’s “V” series of camera-centric smartphones. Carried a price tag of Rs. 21,990, the new Vivo V7+ is now available for pre-order, while the same will be going on sale in India starting September 15 via e-commerce websites Amazon.in, Flipkart.com as well as all leading offline retail stores across the country in Matte Black and Champagne Gold colour options. The main highlights of the Vivo V7+ are its FullView display, 24-megapixel moonlight selfie camera, company’s latest Funtouch 3.2 custom UI skin, and Hi-Fi AK4376A audio chipset for an immersive sound experience.

Talking about its specifications, the Vivo V7+ flaunts a large 5.99-inch HD (1440 x 720 pixels) IPS ‘FullView’ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an 84.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display is also protected by a scratch resistance 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clubbed with Adreno 506 image processing unit to take care of graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the Vivo V7+ runs on Google’s Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with company’s proprietary FunTouch 3.2 custom UI skin running on top. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint recognition button for the biometric authentication process.

For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo V7+ features a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision OV16880 sensor, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and an LED flash module. The main camera features include Ultra HD, Normal, Face Beauty, Panorama, HDR, Pro Mode, Slow motion video, Camera Filter and much more. On the front, the smartphone houses a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/2.78-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture and Moonlight Glow flash unit for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions. The front camera also supports Face Beauty 7.0 and Portrait mode.

On the connectivity front, the Vivo V7+ offers various connectivity options including dual-SIM dual standby, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac , Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, USB OTG, an AK4376A audio chipset for Hi-Fi audio, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include a Proximity sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Fingerprint (rear-mounted), Gyroscope and E-compass sensor. On the battery front, the Vivo V7+ packs a decent 3,225mAh non-removable battery. Dimensionally, the device measures 155.87 x 75.74 x 7.7mm and weighs 160 grams.
