Japanese electronics company Panasonic has expanded its “Toughbook” series of notebooks portfolio with the launch of world’s first 2-in-1 fully rugged detachable notebook, dubbed as the “Toughbook CF-33” in the Indian market. Powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5-7300U vPro processor, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 is specially designed for those mobile workers, who are familiar with rough and tough conditions in their business life. The powerful notebook is capable of tackling the rough conditions due to its rugged build quality and enterprise-level security. The major highlights of the Toughbook CF-33 are its sleek & lightweight design, magnesium alloy chassis, 2-in-1 detachable laptop/tablet mode, 10 hours of battery life and IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. The company claims that the Toughbook CF-33 notebook is an ideal option for engaged industries such as police, emergency services, government agencies, defence, field service workers, maintenance and service technicians in the utilities and telecommunications. Carried a price tag of Rs. 2,70,000, the new Toughbook CF-33 will be soon available in India via all leading offline and online retail stores across the country.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 Specifications and Features:
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 comes equipped with a 12-inch QHD touchscreen (10-point) display with a screen resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. The anti-glare capacitive touch panel also works with an optional Active stylus pen. Under the hood, the new rugged machine is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5-7300U vPro processor (2.6GHz, 3 MB cache) coupled with 8GB of onboard RAM and 256GB of SSD storage for faster data access speeds and boot-up times. Further, users can be customized their Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 notebook with 4GB RAM/128GB SSD storage and 16GB RAM/512GB SSD storage. Talking about its software (OS) fronts, the Toughbook CF-33 runs on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version and features a full-HD Windows Hello capable webcam. It features 2-megapixel 1080p webcam with stereo microphones and 8-megapixel documentation rear camera.
Ports on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 laptop (keyboard unit) include two USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet (RJ-45) port, one full-sized HDMI port, an SDXC card reader, USB 2.0 port and VGA ports. On the other hand, the tablet unit includes a USB 3.0 port, VGA web camera, HDMI, LAN, a 3.5 mm headset jack, and an 8MP rear camera. The connectivity options offered by the laptop include Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 (Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.1, optional dedicated GPS, and optional 4G LTE service.
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 also comes with a fingerprint scanner, iris scanner and facial recognition for high-grade biometric security. Additional configuration options on the tablet unit include second USB 2.0 port, serial and barcode reader, smartcard reader, contactless smart card reader and fingerprint reader. On the battery, the new Panasonic Toughbook comes loaded with a durable and long-lasting 1,990mAh battery (each unit) that is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and up to 20 hours of battery life with the optional long life batteries (4,120mAh). Dimensionally, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 measures 312.4 x 289.56 x 45.72 mm (L x W x H) and weighs around 2.76 kg (or 1.53 kg for the tablet section).
