Soon after launching the Lava A93 smartphone in India, home-bred consumer electronics company Lava International on Wednesday launched a new budget-oriented smartphone, dubbed as the “Lava Z60” in the Indian tech market. The Lava Z60 has been launched in the country with a price tag of Rs. 6,499, but it is now available in the country via all leading retail stores across the country at a best buy price tag of Rs. 5,500. And the smartphone is being offered by the company in Black and Gold colour variants. Although the company did not organise any launch programme event for its Lava Z60 smartphone but a Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer, Mahesh Telecom has recently shared this announcement on its official Twitter account. The tweet reads, “#LavaZ60 now available at a best buy price of ₹5500/- only”. According to the mobile retailer, the Lava Z60 is now already made available for purchase in India via all major offline retail stores across the country at a price tag of Rs. 5,500, against its actual price of Rs. 6,499.

Lava Z60 specifications and features:
In terms of specifications, the Lava Z60 sports a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a screen resolution of 854 pixels by 480 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software fronts, the dual-SIM Lava Z60 runs on Star OS customized UI skin, based on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In terms of photography, the Lava Z60 features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, and a LED flash module. The camera modes on the device include Bokeh effect, Funny Cam, Templates and much more. On the front of the device, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, which comes accompanied by a LED flash unit for capturing bright selfies even in low-light conditions.
In terms of connectivity, the new Lava Z60 offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, FM radio, a 3.5mm audio port, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. On the battery front, the Lava Z60 houses a 2,500mAh battery, which is associated with power saving features such as Power Saver mode and Super Power Saver mode. The smartphone’s battery is rated to deliver up to 12 hours of talktime on 3G network and up to 264 hours of standby time. Other features on the device include Flip to Mute and Smart Gestures. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor and Proximity Sensor. Dimension wise, the handset measures 143.6 x 72.3 x 9.1 mm and measures 149 grams.
