Annihilation, a new upcoming sci-fi movie starring Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, is about to release next year on February 23rd, 2018. And now, the first official trailer has also been dropped by the makers.
The trailer shows Portman searching for her deceased husband while being on an expedition, but the mission seems to go haywire when she, along with her crew members of an agency (appearing from the trailer) encounters an unknown and fatal creature.

And in the end of the trailer, Natalie says, “I could save him.”
From this, it can be assumed that Portman will be suffering a big blow in the upcoming, new, sci-fi thriller.
Annihilation is actually based on a 2014 novel of the same name, by author Jeff VanderMeer.
Annihilation is directed by Ex-Machina fame film maker Alex Garland and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It also stars Tess Thompson, Gina Rodriguez, Oscar Isaac and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
