Wonder Woman may be nearing towards the end of its theatrical run, but it seems there’s still left some fire in the impact of Amazon’s Princess Diana! After taking in $820.4 million on the worldwide box-office, and eclipsing every possible record, DC’s epic has reached towards that milestone, which will establish it as the greatest ever superhero origin flick! Wonder Woman is $1 MN short of becoming the all-time biggest superhero origin film. That’s really-really a huge feat to touch!
Currently, 2002’s Spider-Man, starring Tobey Maguire, sits proudly at #1 with a global collection of $821.7 million, making it the highest grossing superhero origin movie.
Wonder Woman has already broken some really unprecedented records, but this one stands a fifty-fifty chance since its not known yet how long the movie will keep running in the theatres from now.
Still, having completed such a miraculous journey is no tiny feat for Patty Jenkins’s female-superhero flick. More than all the records and numbers, the global acclaim that it has received is enormous and unbelievable. The film now even stands a chance of an Oscar entry into multiple categories including Best Picture and Best Director, as far as Warner Bros’s efforts are concerned.
Nonethless, all eyes will be on Gal Gadot’s Princess Diana who is now putting all efforts to become the best superhero origin story’s character.
