To counter Reliance Jio’s Rs. 149 plan, Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel has introduced a new affordable recharge plan, called “Rs. 199 Plan” for their prepaid subscribers. The new Airtel Rs. 199 Recharge plan offers its subscribers unlimited voice calling and 1GB data per day for 28 days on a recharge of just Rs. 199. Under this “Rs. 199 Plan” recharge scheme, Airtel prepaid subscribers recharging with Rs. 199 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region (Local + STD) in the country, along with 1GB of 2G or 3G or 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 28 days, totalling 28GB of 3G/4G data for the period. All Airtel prepaid subscribers having 2G/3G/4G-enabled handsets can avail this offer and enjoy the company’s best value voice and data proposition in the said period. Talking about its FUP details, Bharti Airtel offers a cap of 300 minutes of outgoing calls within a single day or 1200 minutes of outgoing calls per week.

Apart from this, there is also a recharge scheme called Rs. 178 plan, where the company offers unlimited voice calling along with 1GB 2G/3G/4G data per day for 28 days. Under this Rs. 178 plan, customers recharging with Rs. 178 can avail free unlimited voice calling (All network Local + STD), along with 1GB of 2G/3G/4G (depending on the circle) mobile data for a period of 28 days. Note that, the “Airtel Rs. 178 plan” is applicable for new prepaid subscribers only. New Airtel customers can avail this offer with their first recharge or second recharge.

With the launch of its two new recharge plans, Bharti Airtel is aggressively going to compete against the major telecom company like Reliance Jio, Idea Cellular, Vodafone India, and others. Needless to say, in the Indian telecom industry, the entry of Reliance Jio is a great momentum behind the new-age price war. The Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has recently updated its Rs. 149 plan. Under Reliance Jio’s new Rs. 149 plan, Jio Prime members can avail unlimited calls to any network, free SMSes, Jio apps subscription and 2GB of 4G data for a period of 28 days. After the usage of 2GB bundled data, the internet speed will be reduced to 64 kbps but there’s no limitation in voice calls.

Besides these plans, Bharti Airtel also has a few more attractive voice and data-centric plans such as the “Airtel Rs. 149 plan”, “Airtel Rs. 198 plan”, and “Airtel Rs. 244 plan”.
